Enhancing Music Education Through Technology

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Guest speakers from the world of music technology and education were invited to Youngstown State University to speak with area music teachers about the benefits of bringing the latest technology into their music programs to enhance the musical education experience.

Speakers presented their thoughts on expanding the idea of what is considered music and how students can learn music in different ways.

“I would say to any school that has computer labs available still, this is a very accessible thing that you can add that will add another dimension to your existing STEM or STEAM program and draw in a new kind of student into the arts,” says Will Kuhn, music teacher at Lebanon High School and certified Abelton trainer.
