Diane Makar Murphy, a former columnist at the Youngstown Vindicator, is self-publishing a fantasy novel entitled Down, Down, Down. Unlike her columns, which ran from 2002 to 2004, and featured humor and local interest interviews, it's a suspense crime drama. Down, Down, Down's main character, a disillusioned detective named Mike Beckler, gets a do-over in life. The only problem is, he has to journey into hell to get it.
